No, it’s not a launcher.
I’m sure Jordan could put together a pretty dope launcher. Much thanks to the Mudita team for all they do but also a big thank you to all the developers that are part of this community. Quite a few apps I’ve found here have improved my experience tremendously.
App looks great! How about adding it to the Mindapps appstore?
I think it could be a problem for the company to permit and promote installation of outside development and see it affecting future os versions by Mudita.
I didn’t think i was purchasing an incomplete product, but it seems to be a risk having it for a non technical person, it could end up non functional.
I genuinely think Mudita is okay with this. I think they know that the Kompakt is incomplete and that third-party developers are the reason why many are keeping the Kompakt (myself included). In some ways, I’m sure the Kompakt developers are taking notes from these third-party developers on how to improve the Kompakt and make it an overall better experience without many of us needing to rely on third-party help. At least I hope that is the case.
Thanks for the app. Very interesting added a lot of value to the phone.
Just one remark, does this logo needs to stay on the screen? And what is the function when it change from light to dark when you tap on it?
Grt.

this looks great. Can I use inkos with this as well to keep the minimalistic list menu? @jordan
This is a great app, love that I can pick my text notificatoins and other sounds. Great work and thank you!
Hi @jordan Did you have a chance to check out our new FORUM section dedicated to rating third-party APKs and developer-created apps for Mudita Kompakt? It would be AWESOME to see your app get the attention it deserves.
The goal of this new section is to create one dedicated space where users can discover apps that work well on Mudita Kompakt- this way you can get feedback all in one place.
Let me know if you need help posting in there.
No problem at all! ![]()
Ill fix this on the next update so its with the permissions at the top.
Thank you, I’m glad you like it!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will look into fixing that, I think I know why its doing that.
Sure I can do that! I’m wondering if it would be better to move the app recents as its own page adding a “recents” tab on the left of the notifications tab at the top and having that page display a text app list of all recent apps vertically. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on this change. I will also fix the clear all button and have it look better.
No problem at all! Thanks for introducing the wonderful InkOS as it got me to also start making apps for the Kompakt

Its just a overlay app that adds more functions to the Kompakt. It will work with any launcher as its not a launcher app.
haha thanks! I actually have been working on a feature packed launcher with integrated apps but its not anything I am releasing soon since there is a lot of polishing to do still. I may release a lighter launcher before that one though!
Thank you! I can look into that.
I honestly would be happy if Mudita copied and pasted my KompaktX like UI for the muditas quick settings page if they ever were interested. ![]()
No problem! I’m happy to hear that.
Oh looks like you enabled the accessibility shortcut which isn’t needed. Just untoggle it the accessibility shortcut and it should go away.
Of course! It will work with any launcher still.
Thank you. No problem!![]()
I just now saw that! I will post it over there sometime soon. I was going to first maybe change the logo to my app to something a bit nicer. The current one is very basic haha. Thanks for the kind words ![]()
V1.1 Update released!
Feel free to leave further feedback.
edit: Seems like I missed a bug with the newly added positioning option, if you set the tab position to the bottom It seems like it closes the overlay easily. I will fix this in the next update.
@jordan When you get a chance, maybe it’s worth also updating the APP Rating section as well ![]()
I would like to invite all the users enjoying @Jordan’s app to the new section on the FORUM to share their feedback about the app.
Love the new update! The fix for the edge swipe triggers is much appreciated ![]()
I think I got it, does it show the correct rating now? Thank you ![]()
No problem at all! ![]()
I think this app is not for me, but I’m glad so many people are enjoying it! I do have a question for @jordan please help!!
I uninstalled the app using the uninstall function, but it seems to have made some changes to my interface that didn’t go away with the uninstall. For example, if I swipe down from the top and it shows me the Mudita settings menu (which I don’t think I’ve ever seen happen before, or was that part of mudita’s launcher already?) and now when I press the recents button the top header with the time and battery shows up slightly before the rest of the settings menu, which is definitely new and not ok at all, like a flicker. How do I put these things right if uninstall didn’t work? I will actually cry if I have to factory reset.
The swipe down from the top settings menu has always been there. As far as the issue with the recents button, are you using Mudita’s stock launcher? The top header with the time and battery should always be present unless you’re using a third party launcher like Katapult which hides it. If you are using Katapult, you can disable that behavior in Katapult’s settings.
Thank you! That makes me feel better I guess I’ve just never triggered the swipe menus. The delay between the header and the rest of the settings menu is different though, so maybe it is something that happened with katapult that does make sense. Unless I’m hallucinating that too but I’ve been using katapult almost a week and never noticed a delay. Before this I did always have the stock Launcher.
Yeah the pull down from the top always triggered the mudita quick settings, thats why I didnt have my apps trigger be a pull down since it would interfere. My app shouldnt affect anything with the status bar, I never ran into that issue but might be due to the launcher if its hiding the status bar.
It seems you’ve hidden the Status bar in Katapult. When you hide it, it only can hide it in Katapult not in other apps or fragments of the OS.
The quick settings page acts as separate app (part of the system), and it will trigger the status bar even tho you’ve hid it in Katapult.
The only way to not have it appear like that this is to disable “Hide status bar” in Katapult.
