I’ve seen a few references from the Mudita team to upcoming features or improvements being “on the roadmap,” and I was wondering—is there a public version of this roadmap available?
It would be incredibly helpful for both current users and prospective buyers to see what’s actively being developed, what’s planned, and what’s under consideration (e.g. iCloud sync, text-based navigation menu vs. icons, expanded carrier support, messaging updates, etc.).
Would love to know if this exists or if there are plans to make it available in some form.
@stevenjc123 Thanks for your question. Are you asking about Mudita (as a company) or are you asking about our newest phone, Mudita Kompakt or another product? I just want to make sure we’re on the same page because your post does not mention Kompakt specifically by name (neither does the title of your thread), so I’m not clear which roadmap to ask the team about. (I think you mean Mudita Kompakt- but I’d rather clarify than to assume )

Me too. I received my phone end of last week, so have to decide soon whether it fits my use case or not. It would be useful to know what feature requests are rejected, which will definitely be implemented, and where priorities lie.
Hi there. I know software development is hard, but I want to add my voice to this. It would be great to have some idea of when to expect features or see what the team is comitting to given all the great feedback users have sent in Even if not a roadmap, some indication of when we can expect the next major software updates and what they include would be great.
+1 also! This would also be a great transparency effect for all the questions in the forum. Make it a sticky note up at the beginning our a seperate site (supernotes developer does this as well)
I think this is starting to be a pressing matter. There are more and more people considering returning their phones. The other let’s say “patient ones” are also just hoping for some feautres. Can we get a rough plan?

Update 2. - End june
Expected changes: - Nagivation in the maps blabla bla
No exact dates needed, it just puts extra pressure on you guys (by some of us impatients here for sure)
Mudita definitely should give a roadmap of what areas they are working one once they’ve decided on whats being prioritised, but i expect they’re still trying to see whats a priority (outside of what they’re already working on) from all the current feedback…
but on a side note, do not buy things on the basis of what you might get in the future.

Yes, global pre-orders are finished, but our North American backers are still waiting for their devices. Once the all of the devices are in users’ hands, we’ll be gathering feedback and insights from that initial experience. This will help shape the next steps in a meaningful way.

If you are have received your Global Optimized Mudita Kompakt version- you’ve probably already also received a survey asking for feedback. The feedback & your input we get on the forum and through the surveys play a big role in shaping what comes next.
I am a happy customer, I like the Kompakt and I really believe in the Team behind it (as I only read about the Pure, never owned it.) I am just a bit worried as the negative voices tend to be louder than the positive ones…
I can imagine things are crazy busy over there, and you guys did a great job shipping the products out as promised so far!
I still imagine this is less relevant for the software engineers. Feedback aside, I believe there are already things confirmed to be coming (i.e. navigation, music player updates, calendar sync, etc.).
Even a high level update would be really helpful for those of us who have < 14 days to make our decision about the phone. Even getting a sense of if this will be days/weeks/months/years for a some of the improvements on the roadmap would be directionally helpful if possible.
Also worried about that! I’m MORE than happy with my Kompakt as my only phone. Of course, some bugs can be fixed and some cool features can come in but I hope they don’t loose the essence of the Kompakt.
IMO certain bugfixes, basic functionality improvement, and verifying odd behavior (late alarm clock?) is top priority. I’d love this come first and then improve maps or music folder or anything regarding sideloading stability (despite apps themselves are not supported).
I love the Kompakt and I am likely to keep it. I can make it work with sideloaded apps for the time being. I don’t want to contribute to a negative sentiment around the product because I am really fortunate for the product and the team, but with a little over a week I just was looking some idea of when these essential everyday features/updates to the app would come from the software team. But thank you to Mudita for all their work, the hardware is pretty much perfect and have really enjoyed using my Kompakt.
