You need to activate USB debugging in Developer Options. Have you done that?

Try if Mudita Center recognizes your phone.
If it does, close Mudita Center then open Chrome and try web adb.
If it doesn’t, try a different cable.
If it still doesn’t work learn how to use normal desktop ADB, there are youtube videos for this

I can’t find where you said how you can change what each link is named - where do I rename it in InkOS?
So if I wanted to rename SMS into messages for instance?

In appdrawer, longpress SMS or any app and the Context Menu appears, then tap rename and u can rename the apps.

Could be the browser. I can’t access on the Mac safari browser, but it works with chrome.

It was. Even though brave is chrome based it wouldn’t work so had to download chrome for it.
