Could be the browser. I can’t access on the Mac safari browser, but it works with chrome.

I seem to have an issue with lag whilst trying to set up ink os, it doesn’t seem to be present in the stock launcher
platform…… the screen doesn’t want to scroll when setting up parameters

1.Make sure you have v0.3 installed. (v0.1 was more inconsistent in settings)
2.There’s no scroll on most of the menus, you need to swipe up and down (no drag) to change pages. (it is to avoid ghosting).

Hi everyone, I’ve been enjoying the Mudita Kompakt with inkOS for two days now and I’m loving it! The only thing I can’t quite figure out is the notification settings in inkOS.
I need to turn off the notifications for every song change in Apple Music. I tried adding all apps except Apple Music to the allow list, but then my notifications stopped showing up in ‘Letters’. I’m probably doing something wrong, I just don’t know what.
Otherwise, a huge thank you to gezimos for inkOS and to Urszula for taking such great care of this community!

There’s 2 notification allowlists.
1st one is Home Notification Allowlist for notifications that appear under the app names or the asterisk.
2nd one is at the bottom (Notification Allow List) is for Letter Notifications.
If you have no apps in these allowlists = all notifications go through. Them moment you add an app it fill start filtering them.
So make sure you added apps you want in the the 2nd Notification list as well.

To clarify, InkOS users should add the apps they wish to receive notifications from in both the Home Notification Allow List and Notification Allow List?

@stevenjc123 Yes, for several reasons.

Is personal choice, I would like to only see notifications from Signal, Whatsapp, Music, Podcasts apps in Home. Nothing else. (this notifications are not cached, they’re dynamic).

Inside the other Notification window (letters), the notifications are cached so you can see them even after the system deletes them until you decide to dismiss them. This is good for longer messages mostly and it’s not good or that useful for other notifications. However in some apps or phones they can bombard you with notifications like sending a battery change notification every 1% (samsung does this) and it’s annoying.
Hence why there are separate allow lists which get activated as soon as you add at least a single app in them. Which I recommend because in the Kompakt the system sends some useless notifications.

Thank you for the clarification.
When I receive a message via WhatsApp I’d like to see it on the Home Page and so I added it to the Home Notification Allow List however I do not wish to receive either a vibration or audible alert (not important enough to disturb flow!). Is there a way to configure this?
Note: I’ve turned off “Conversation Tones” (sounds for incoming/outgoing messages) inside of the WhatsApp settings but the vibration/sounds are still coming through.

Those are app/system dependent so inkOS can’t do anything to control those.
And i think Mudita has overridden the vibration/notification sounds so they come up even if u disable them.

Thanks. With the Mudita sound settings, it seems that one has to choose either all “Ring and notification volume” or none, and I still want to be able to hear and/or feel the phone ringing…

To see them in inkOS notifications clear your allowlist, and you may see sometimes notifications such " Usb charging" “Duraspeed” etc.
To see them outside of inkOS, activate Notification Log in inkOS / Extras / System Shortcuts / Notification Log
and that will show the notification that the system has but Kompakt is hiding from you

Technically yes, but Beeper requires google play services to send push notifications and without it you’ll have to open the app very often or notifications go to “sleep”.
So it’s not issue of the Launcher but lack of Play Services

@urszula Can you edit the topic that @shadock made to include a message:
If you’re coming from Mudita OS-K 1.4.0 you no longer need to disable Mudita Launcher if you want to use inkOS or other third party launchers.

But if Mudita launcher was disabled in V1.3 have I to enable again after update?

In my MK that was enabled but I’ve never seen anything. Because I’ve only enabled the asterix notifications?

You can enable it if it if u want
I’m not sure I understand what you mean, Notification Log is just a shortcut to a system utility, it’s not related to inkOS or the allowlist.
To see all of them in Letters (Notification window) u have to clear you allowlist (which disables the allowlist).
And for example if you connect your Kompakt to computer with USB u’ll get a notification “USB connected”.

What would be the gain having Mudita launcher enabled if I use InkOs?
In « System shortcut » notification and notification log are enabled and my allowlist is empty.

There’s no gain, but some users reported some errors with the new update, and re-enabling Mudita Launcher fixed the issue for them.
Notification Log{ will appear in your app drawer if you have enabled, but it’s not related to inkOS notifications. It’s just a shortcut to Android Notifications.
