In the US, Consumer Cellular, updated to newest OS... can't get group messages to work

I’ve searched through the forum here for a bit, and I’m just confused about group messages.

I am in the US, I received my phone yesterday, I have the NA version, my carrier is Consumer Cellular, and on the latest software update.

I’m not getting group messages. Ive missed 5 or 6 sets of messages since I moved my sim to the Kompakt. I did look up the APN settings for Consumer Cellular, changed them on the phone and saved them. It’s still not working. If I can’t get it working, I will have to return the phone as I need group messages for work.

Can anyone help me?

@AltDaddy Were you ever able to receiving Group Chats? Is this straight out of the box?

Are your settings set correctly & do you have the correct APN settings?

Hello, thank you for responding.

I got it yesterday from a retailer here in the US (dumbwireless.com).

I do have that setting selected, but I’m missing replies from people. I get some replies, but not all. Here are my settings

Here are the key APN settings for Consumer Wireless. I think they use the AT&T network

Key APN Settings for Consumer Cellular

You might have to create a separate profile:

To fix group messaging (MMS) on Consumer Cellular, create a new APN with Name: ccdata (or CC LTE), APN: ccdata , MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net , MMS proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net , and MMS port: 80 . Ensure the APN Type includes mms (e.g., default, mms, supl ) and save the settings.

I found that info here:

I updated the settings on my phone using this page from Consumer Cellular’s website (I’ll post a link below). I will also share a photo of the APN settings on my phone.

I don’t seem to be able to receive any text messages unless I text that number first. I’ve checked the group messages setting and it is set to “Single MMS group chat” as you recommended.

@AltDaddy I would now, suggest you contact our customer support. They will most likely ask you to send in logs, which our team can investigate. Their email is SUPPORT@Mudita.com

Please also send them these photos.

Thank you.
