I have difficulties reading the Forum

Hi there,

I received my Kompakt last week, I’m very happy so far. I understand the community is very active and I found answers already, I’m grateful it exists.
That said, I have to say that the choice of font weight makes messages very difficult for me to read. I also feel like a lot of space is wasted, we have to scroll a lot between messages. Could you at least rethink the choice of font and font weight?

I am going to share other feedbacks regarding the product itself, I found a couple of bugs I am going to report in separate threads.

Thanks,
pilou

Thanks for this feedback. I will pass this on to the team. For the FORUM, we use Discourse, which is an open source Internet forum system- so we have to work with what we got  But I will ask the team.

Thanks a ton, appreciate it!
Yes, I figured it was Discourse behind the scenes, although the vast majority of Discourse communities I use have more compact, heavy fonts than the one here (see https://discover.discourse.com/). I hope it’s just a settings to change

Hi !
You can at least raise the font size I think ;
Top right menu → Profile icon → Preferences → Interface → Text size

You can also zoom in your browser ; in your browser settings you can also force a font / font size (in Firefox for instance).

I am sure there are also extensions for this purpose.
For instance : Open Dyslexic – Adoptez cette extension pour 🦊 Firefox (fr)

Edit : I really read your message too quickly, I thought it was too small for you but that’s the contrary

You can try indeed to switch your browser to “computer mode” and/or use an extension to replace the fonts ?

There must also be some extensions which remove white space such as :

Hey, thanks for your reply and guidance.

I looked in the the interface settings of Discourse, having a larger or smaller font size does not improve readability for me.

The Open Dyslexic extension replaces the font with their own, which is indeed better. But it replaces in every single website I visit, which is really not what I’m trying to achieve here.

Montserrat light (300) is really the problem. Changing font and/or font weight to 500 would solve the issue for me.

Dark Reader (browser extension), allows adjusting the brightness/contrast, font-stroke, changing of fonts for specific websites
