I knew that updating to 1.2.0 while there are so many bug reports wasn’t the smartest idea, especially because there was nothing I really need in this update… And I still did update about 3 weeks ago. First 2 weeks were alright, but then camera app crashed for the first time, and since then it seems to happen every time I need to make a picture. I do know about permissions fix, and it does fix it… just until it happens again. It is extremely irritating and I do not understand why there was no hotfix released (I work in software engineering and that’s what one does when their update breaks previously working functionality – fixes it asap).
Anyway, rant aside. As far as I understand the only way to rollback the update is a factory reset. And I have some questions to Mudita support and those of you who did the factory reset.
- Is there an option to update to 1.1.1 after the reset (or is update only offers 1.2.0 since it is the latest version)?
- How do I preserve my data? Will backup from 1.2.0 work on 1.1.0 and/or 1.1.1?
- Did you encounter any issues related to the factory reset?
