Would the pure have worked reception wise in NZ would u know. We have just had 3G turned off, which I’m fairly unhappy about, were still quite a number of people using it. I’ve been without a ph about a month, trying to find the lowest SAR I can. Please let me know, u have it sound like there’s still a few around to buy
Regards
ABOVE is from another thread but this is a take off on the above SAR concern.
Put the phone in another room when you are not using it and when you do, use the speakerphone and make sure its at least three feet away from you. The Kompakt has a good speaker and microphone.
Also try to stay 400 meters away from 5G cell towers.
Someone else probably has better SAR avoidance advice.
This is a genuine question and not trying to be snarky, but is there any evidence from a reputable source that SAR is a risk from 5g? It sounds like pseudoscience to me.
Good point, @ed_knight490 seems that there isn’t evidence that exposure to cell phone RF is harmful. There was a time when tobacco was advertised as healthy.
Cumulative affect to SAR is the concern I have. Keep calls short with low bars. With a weak signal the device boosts the transmission, emits more RF, holding the phone against one’s head increases exposure (as does carrying the phone next to one’s body, such as in the bra). Don’t sleep with the phone under your pillow.
While the research on SAR is still out there in the science wars, here is an evidence based book (Body Electric) that showcases the perils of constant connectivity. Highly recommended.
Oh sure - I think everyone here has experience with connectivity affecting their lives - but that’s a completely separate issue from ‘5g causes cancer!!’ and I don’t think we should conflate them.
People are free to believe what they want but I don’t think it’s responsible to post baseless claims about things like this.
It may be related. That’s what I am saying. SAR at the end of the day is exposure. If you have high levels of exposure to certain radiation, there may be complications that arise. But this is at the micro-level, not the macro level. I don’t think there is enough data to showcase that 5G causes cancer, but people who live near a 5G tower have shown certain issues. Similar to what’s happening with AI data centers (of course that’s a massive exposure compared to 5G), but it is an indicator.
Dear @ed_knight490 I don’t know if people are free to believe what they want anymore, that’s my opinion, based on observation/experience, and the internet is the cause of many problems.
