How big is 1.5.0?

Thank you for your suggestion. It unfortunately did not work for me either. I shouldnt have to sideload a different launcher just to access this extremely basic and critical option, and it really sours my whole experience with the phone.

To fix this, I reformatted my SD card to exFAT (if 32gb or less, use FAT32) using windows’ diskpart. Works fine after that. I only got this error after having used the SD card on my kompakt previously and factory reset. I think there was a existing partition that was messing it up, or something.

There is a difference between using an SD card as external (portable) storage versus adoptable (internal) storage because it completely changes how your device interacts with the card.

External (Portable) Storage

When you use an SD card as external storage, it acts exactly like a USB flash drive. Your phone treats it as a separate, removable drive.

  • Best For: Storing media files like photos, videos, music, and documents.
  • How it Works: The card is formatted in a universal file system (like exFAT or FAT32).

Adoptable (Internal) Storage

When you format an SD card as adoptable storage, your phone essentially “adopts” the card and merges it with your phone’s built-in hard drive, treating them as one single, continuous block of storage. Mudita Kompakt does not support this.

When I talked to our customer service dept about this & our tech support said that this was a cause of a lot of the issues with the SD card. When it comes to Mudita Kompakt, the SD can only handle maps, audio files & stuff like that.
