Help! Corruption error

Hi. I just received my Kompakt today and during the software update it crashed and now shows an error.

dm-verity corruption Your device is corrupt. It can’t be trusted and may not work properly. Press power button to continue. Or, device will power off in 5s.

Anyone seen this before? It doesn’t go away even if you hard reset the phone. There’s no way of factory resetting I think because you can’t access the OS.

I believe DM Verity stands for ‘device mapper’ verity. A DM Verity error indicates an error in the system partition. You said you tried a hard reset? (i.e. holding the power button). Have you tried connecting it to Mudita center again? There are other options but it’s up to Mudita to make a decision on those.

Thanks. I have tried’holding the power button for >5 seconds many times but not Mudita Centre. I just tried MC now and was able to get it to detect that the device is connected but it gets stuck when it asks for me to unlock the phone. The phone vibrates when I put my finger on the reader. There’s no way to enter a passcode and the screen is stuck on the MK logo.

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes, after holding that button down for 5s when it is displaying that, it will display the Mudita logo. Then it will become ‘active’ in that the buttons have haptic feedback and the power button also buzzes when my fingerprint is applied (this is approx at the 1 min 45 sec part of the video below). However, the haptic buzz is the only response. It does not do anything other than display the Mudita logo. I tried to upload a video but this forum won’t let me upload because I’m a new user so I’ve put it on my Google Drive. That’s ok. I did and that didn’t work. I called up just now and Robert has arranged a warranty return. Thanks for your help.
