I just got the Mudita and I moved my TMobile sim card from my Samsung s20. I opened the sms app and go to settings, click on sim, and I don’t see group messaging as an option. I can only see “Download MMS Content” and “Allow MMS While Roaming”. I’ve been trying to find a thread that talks about what I can do to be able to see the option for group messaging.
I have gone into Google Messaging on my original phone and disabled RCS, then put the sim card back into Mudita. Didn’t seem to do anything.
Any help would be appreciated

Hello, have you made sure that the device is up to the current 1.4 update? when I received mine 2 weeks ago, I had the same issue, but I realized it only updated to 1.1. so, I had to install each update separately to get to the most modern update. once you do that the group messages should appear!

@caitlin-26 Thanks for reaching out. Make sure your MuditaOS K is updated to 1.4.0 & then you will have the options for Group SMS

Thank you. I also hadn’t realized my update only went to 1.2. I’ve got it up to 1.4 now and I see the Group option. I sent a group message and didn’t receive any responses, despite knowing responses were sent.
Any ideas how to fix not receiving group messages?

@caitlin-26 Since you’re switching from an Samsung S20, I would suggest checking if your APN settings are correct AND making sure your number is de-registered from RCS.
Please note that it could take up to 30 days to get de-registered. Sometimes, it happens sooner, but we’ve had Mudita Kompakt users say that it can take the full 30 days- so please be patient.
