The exhibitor search feature at the IFA 2024 site retrieves no information about Mudita. Was I looking in the wrong place?

I found this company at that stand: TRADESNEST - IFA Berlin 2024

Ooooooh, is that a light that changes color based on the time of day … or perhaps an “alarm light” that slowly changes color in a way similar to a sunrise?

I’m very interested in this lighting.

The light coloured Kompakt is definitely my favourite!

Very excited to see the phone in action!

I‘m more excited for them to clarify the apps supported and the possibility of installing alternative app stores.

Had a brief look by the spot at the Ifa today. Was a bit heavier than I expected. The screen was quite responsive. I didn’t have much time, but the screen seemed to have the right balance of speed and readability. Basically it was exactly what the photos released so far have been, but I was able to open the individual apps. Nothing surprising there.

I realized too late that I didn’t test out the keyboard on the messaging app.

@robooneus Thank you for another sneak peek!

This sounds good.

I’m guessing you did not see a browser then.

This is all sounding very good to me.

No, there was no browser. I think there was a sneak peak shared with the app list that was basically what I saw. Phone, messages, eReader, calculator, and maybe two others? Should have taken a photo. Was definitely minimal.

But also, I assume, quite unfinished. The pamphlet at the stand lists “custom made OS” and well as “Open source maps with offline navigation”.

I am in the camp that rather had hoped for more access to apps (with a lot of control over them). Seemed like it is probably a good alternative to Light Phone for those looking for that simplified of an experience.

Must say, though, I didn’t love the feel of the plastic. Was rather glossy and had a “cheaper” feel than I would have hoped for. But I would largely peg that as personal preference than anything else.

Yeah need clarification on what apps are available once its announced my decision will be easy

I am still optimistic about the possibility of downloading alternative app stores.

I was concerned about this after looking at the pictures from earlier sneak peeks and hope there will be a case to avoid scratches.

I think people are really enjoying it

From the pictures earlier, it seemed to have a matte finish. It is difficult to be sure until someone has a look in person or a video is made. I hope the display glass has a matte finish to reduce reflections.

Did you see a fingerprint reader?

I think you’re onto a winner here! It looks cool, good size, hitting current trends with the shape and all we need to see is a minimalist output. Does not need to be a smartphone and I can see it;s not trying to be.
