I’ve been having a tough time with the copy and paste function. When I get an address or a link in my messages, I can’t seem to copy the region I selected. If I select the body of text from which I want to pull, it will instead copy the message above it, or be stuck on the very first instance of a copied text (and I mean the very first weeks ago).
Am I doing something wrong?
Copying the text above the text I need, also doesn’t work.
Yep, I have experienced the same bug. Sometimes I’ve managed to copy the wrong section to get the right section that I want to paste, but it’s a process of trial and error.
Where are you guys copying the text from? For example, if I get a link in a text message, I can just click on the message & then click the ‘copy’ icon above.
Exactly like you are showing it in the photo, is how I carry out the procedure too. First I long press the intended text in SMS, then I press the copy symbol. When I paste that which I copied, the message above it, or a message from 2 weeks ago is pasted. It happens literally every single time for me.
Let’s say you send me a link to an article on one message, then in another you praise the article.
I then copy the link and paste it into any browser, but the thing pasted is either the text sent prior to the link of the article, or something I copied in the first few days of having the phone.
The copy/paste works, but it does not copy what I am intending to copy.
I have this same issue - it won’t copy the latest thing. It’s as if whatever is on the clipboard needs to be pasted a certain number of times before allowing something else to be copied. Did you ever get this figured out. It feels pretty essential for me because I send links to myself so that I can open them on a computer… but since copy and paste isn’t reliable, I am left without being able to access certain things that people send me.
Few days ago my wife was sending me a parcel locker PIN message from her MK SMS.
For some reason, I got the one she sent me earlier. It kept going like that until I copied something visibly distinct and then copied the new parcel locker PIN message.
As stated earlier, it seems quite inconsistent. Sometimes it copies from 2 messages up, sometimes 3, sometimes 1, and sometimes it actually copies the message selected, but it usually doesn’t. @urszula Has there been any digging into this?
