Hi! I bought 4 Kompacts in the last 5 months and they all seem to have this problem. If lets say on my iphone i save a contact with both names on the “first name” category, when i try looking for the first name its fine. If i try looking for the next name or word i saved in the same category, it wont find the contact at all… I noticed that this solves if you save both names in their own category but its hard to do that for 700-1000 contacts. Perhaps this will be solved soon because its quite discomforting. Thanks! Everything else os good! Besides the bluetooth problem..

Let me see if I understand this correctly:
If you have two friends named David- one with the last name Smith and the other with the last name Johnson are you saying that the search function is not able to find the specific contact by the last name?
I just tested it and it look like this in my case, but I’m not sure if you’re describing the same scenario.
No, the problem is if you have someone named “James William Smith”.
If you fill “James William” as the first name, then you will never find the contact if looking for “William”.
If you fill “William Smith” as the last name, then it will not return if looking for “Smith”.
In each field, only the first word is used by the search and it is very problematic in case of people with nickname (like myself) or if, like me, you add after the last name a “group name” (like “tennis” to quickly find people from the tennis club even if you don’t remember their name)

Yes, I agree the Phone / Contacts lookup needs improvement - Yes. I would love to have group search as well as the ability to create group lists that I can add unlimited numbers to a group contact, such as “Customer”
(I explained in another post).
