Ive had my Kompakt exactly a week today, I decided to try the camera out today, whilst I wasnt expecting a lot, i was expecting it to work, pressing the dark central button doesnt do anything at all, the gallery button brings up some pictures I have saved on the device, the flash button rings up flash options, but the shutter button does nothing at all.
Did I miss something / am I doing something wrong?
@sundancermartin Let me see if I undertand your issue correctly. Are you saying that the camera interface is opening, the UI elements are responding (flash button, gallery button), but the shutter button does nothing???
Like you are unable to take a picture?
That’s correct, the button is dark, I have nothing on screen it’s completely white and pressing the button doesn’t do anything, to the display or work the camera shutter.
Go to developer options → search “Camera access” and toggle it ON
Thanks Gesimos, camera is working now all good …… I wish getting better battery life was as easy, I just charged to 80% and the battery app says I have 1 day 14 hrs of power which is pretty much what I’ve been getting
I don’t pay attention to the estimate, it’s not accurate at all.
To me sometimes I get only one day sometimes 4, depends on the usage.
Definitely worth considering 5000 mAh battery and some optimisations for future e-ink minimalist big thing, but I also see by my car smartphone that it might not ever be enough because of… staying connected - without a SIM card, even if I’m using the smartphone with Wi-Fi an hour a day, having some messaging apps on it and using its browser, it loses just few % a day. Samsung A54 5G (5000 mAh).
I charged to 100% today, and stopped signals service manually. This evening my battery is at 91%, it seems that signal may be the problem. I may try removing it and either install it from another source or another messaging app.
Works fine. Only I wonder why I need to frequently repeat this action.
