Call on speakerphone: volume buttons affect the wrong setting

Hi, when calling on speakerphone the volume buttons change “Call volume”, but I have to go to sound settings and change “Media volume” to affect speakerphone

And when you adjust the volume, just before the volume bar disappears it shows media volume bar for a fraction of second, no?

I’ve been experiencing low volume speaker on with in call volume maxed out. This is probably the issue. Definitly software related, hopefully this gets fixed. I will definitly try this as a workaround to see if It boosts the volume of the speakers. Thanks for the post

Ok gave this a try and I didnt hear any significant difference changing the media volume, in call volume setting seems to make very small changes to the volume from lowest to highest. Im using the north american version. Definitly feel like there is something wrong here as compared to listening to podcasts or music the speakerphone in a voice call while audible is quite concerning to need to have it maxed out to hear someone

@phil I have passed this on to our team. They are aware that this may be a bug.

I am truly bothered by the low speakerphone call volume, even after finally figuring out the wierd ‘media volume’ association and maxing everything out. This drawback, presumably of software origin, makes it onerous to make tedious service calls with this phone.

I hope the developer/device team is listening and I will soon be able to confidently use this phone to make such calls on the speakerphone. It is a rather basic ask from any phone. It is especially galling when this basic feature is not working smoothly on a premium phone.

Is this on speakerphone or when you’re holding the phone up to your ear?

@urszula : on the speakerphone. All volumes in my volume settings are set to max now. Thank you.
