Breathing Exercises: a 'yes, please' or 'no, thank you'?

I was wondering, have you ever tried breathing exercises. :slightly_smiling_face:
There’s a lot of scientific research (such as this, this or this) proving that regular breathing exercises have a positive effect on mental and physical wellbeing.

Have you ever tried breathing exercises?
Can you recommend some specific breathing exercises that proved to be helpful?

I started to appreciate conscious breathing quite recently and I now understand how underestimated it is! The most simple exercise is to give yourself a reminder, a few times per day, to stop and check with yourself your current state of mind and body - take a few deep breaths. And for this brief moment trying to only focus on that. It can be a very powerful reminder of our priorities, taking care of yourself first so that you can share the best of yourself with others.
