There are all kinds of footwear, all kinds of phones so maybe the smart phone is like Doc Marten boots and your Kompakt is your Birkenstock sandals.
Flip flops or thongs are your dumb phone type people and those who are barefoot write letters and post cards.
If they wear Crocs I avoid them.
