I encourage people to try this with their dumbphones as well. I will do this occasionally and it is truly liberating because even with a dumb phone we still have that addictive need to check messages I know I do, so try going out to the mall for an hour without a phone and it honestly feels amazing

I agree, it’s not only smartphones is it. It’s some kind of obsession to have something in our pockets. Although I thoroughly endorse companies such as Mudita, Light and Punkt to progress the minimal lifestyle, there’s even an obsession able to develop in regards to the new form of phone, the minimalist phone.

Yeah I agree, I have a new rule if I am home and my family is at home my light phon is off at 8pm, and the only thing next to my bedside is the Harmony. When I watch movies with my kids if I am checking messages on a dumb phone its a distraction as far as I am concerned keeping me from the moment I am in

I agree too, I am trying to turn mine off an hour before bed. I have a Harmony at my bedside and also a new DAB+ radio, rather than a phone and podcasts.

Actually, the only phone I’m trying to keep in the bedroom is the Mudita Pure. Over time, the reception has gradually improved.

Yes I have used it like 4 times in the past this phone has been my obsession lol. As I said in a previous post if it does not work for everything I know my old provider the pure will work flawlessly for calls even in the basement as well as incoming texts, I will just not be able to text out to people but who cares, it is cumbersome to text anyways on the device and this keeps me focused because I can respond to people in batches on my own time by slipping my sim back into the light phone 2. I am excited about the combo of using the Mudita pure and light phone 2 my two fav dumbphones (favorites until the kompakt comes out of course!)
