Quick research with the Brave browser told me that American cellphone owners get an estimated TEN TIMES as much text-message spam as Polish cellphone owners get in call spam!
@YYZ, this might explain why my interest here in the USA in automatic blocking of non-contacts’ text messages is much higher than is Mudita’s interest.
Sure, but I also get a lot more spam than the average user, for unknown reasons (used SIM card ?). And I paid a lot of money for this phone, but can’t use it. Fair or not ? Mudita’s interest should be the happiness of their customers. How many of them (here on the forum) seem happy, vs. those who are having issues ?
P.S.: I get about 1 to 3 spam messages every 2-3 days.
I still want to get a (Global) Kompakt again, but I am not going to order until a future MuditaOS K version supports full voicemail features and this feature:
May I add a nuance between spam calls with a visible phone number and possibly spam calls with a hidden phone number ?
Fore some reason, when the school (or my wife, from her work) calls me, it is from a hidden number. Most spam calls I get are from unknown but not hidden numbers.
Ideally, I would like to be able to distinguish between :
calls from known numbers (address book)
calls from unknow numbers
calls from numbers with given prefixes
calls from hidden numbers
and ideally set a different ringtone / volume instead of just blocking.
Maybe it’s getting too complicated ?
At last, if there is currently a whitelist system, I won’t be constantly interrupted but might miss some important calls.
