Battery status stuck on "Not Charging" after unplugging — Mudita Kompakt

Hey everyone,

I’m running into a strange bug on my Mudita Kompakt (only 1 month old) and hoping someone here has seen this before.

The issue: The battery status indicator, which normally shows estimated time remaining (e.g. “3+ days left”), gets stuck on “Not Charging” after I unplug the charger. Interestingly, charging itself works fine — it charges normally and correctly displays the time until fully charged while plugged in. The problem only appears once I disconnect.

What I’ve already tried:

  • Restarting the phone

  • Force restart

  • Full factory reset

None of these fixed it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any known fixes or workarounds? Given the phone is so new, I’d rather avoid a warranty claim if there’s a simple solution.

Thanks in advance!

Jaime

Yes, I’ve been having this same issue from the start (I bought mine last autumn).

After charging it shows the percentage but instead of the estimated time left it shows “Not charging”. I can turn the phone off and on several times over several days, but nothing changes. After some days it then shows the estimated time left again, but by then it’s usually down to “3 hours and 15 minutes” or something. The 3 or 6 days it sometimes used to show in the beginning have never appeared again. Hence I reported the battery issues months ago, but as usual, there has been no useful response.

Sounds like the phone thinks the USB-C connector is still connected, but not receiving any charge anymore as the preset charge limit (80%/100%) has been reached.
