Hello all - I was very excited to start using my Kompakt (North American) but received the message from AT&T that the device doesn’t work on the network. This was obviously not what was advertised by the Mudita team. Afterwards I caught up on the forum posts from users with similar issues and tried disabling RCS on the SIM on my Android, which didn’t help. I saw one user took his device to an AT&T store to get it unblocked but noted that it could get blocked again at any time.
Has anyone solved this issue yet in a reliable way? If so please let me know how. If not, the Mudita team really needs to stop advertising that the device works with AT&T.
I’m also undecided if I’ll switch carriers for this - are there any in the US that don’t have this issue? I’m thinking about trying Mint.
@andrewposner8 Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues. I’ve read that people were able to add correct APN setting & get things functioning. However, I would encourage you to contact our customer service for more info on that.
Their email is [email protected]
Our team will be able to give your more info & offer some solutions.
I have a Verizon prepaid plan without any issues, but I was already a Verizon customer with a physical SIM card in my previous iPhone, then just moved the SIM card over to the Kompakt. So I’m not sure about how it would go as a new customer.
I can’t be 100% sure- But other users have reported that even activating the SIM card on a Verizon-approved phone made the difference. Verizon & AT&T are quite specific which phones they let on their network. They don’t like it when phones are NOT purchased from them. We’ve posted about this previously:
