Any news on the 1.5 update?

Seeing the page on MuditaOS K 1.5.0 Update: reliability comes first About the update it mentioned there would be news on the first week of may but I can’t find anything new, is there something you could share @urszula ?

Yeah this is taking way too long, considering the last update was November of 2025, to me that is just way to long between updates. I hope they pray to the skys everyday that the people in this community are building apps for them, because if they were not a large majority of people would have jumped ship long ago or never bought a Kompakt to begin with.

@Minimalmann79: Maybe they are bundling 1.5.0 (Q1 2026) with what they have on the roadmap for Q2 2026 and Q3 2026. One can dream!

Mudita is taking a careful approach to insure the product quality. I have seen recent threads about status of testing in this forum.

While it would be nice to have more frequent, incremental updates, their rhythm largely depends on the complexity of what’s being worked on. Not all features are created equal and while some minor tweaks may take just a few days, deep changes to the OS structure or privacy features can require weeks of development and rigorous testing to ensure stability.

We have different team members working on various parts of the system simultaneously. This means a smaller feature might be ready to go while a larger one can still require more work. We try to bundle these changes efficiently so each update is meaningful.

Testing is done in-house by our team to ensure the software meets our stability and privacy standards before it reaches your device. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our system to the best of our capacity.

They were almost done a month ago then I started asking for things now they are just trying to incorporate all the changes I asked for into this update.
