Amazing device, BUT

@Jose_Briones I can’t test this, because in Poland it does not work the same way as it does in the US. It’s really weird, but, in Poland & I guess in the rest of Europe:
Group SMS (sending one message to several people at once) behaves more like a mass individual SMS send rather than a group chat.
In most European countries, standard SMS doesn’t automatically turn into a group conversation. Every recipient gets the message individually, and if they reply, it goes only to the original sender (not the whole group).
In Europe, true “group chat” behavior (everyone sees everyone’s responses) usually only happens in messaging apps (WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram) rather than via SMS/MMS.

Why this difference?

  • MMS adoption was more aggressive in the US, with unlimited plans pushing it.
  • In Europe, people moved more quickly to apps like WhatsApp for rich messaging because SMS/MMS was often billed per message or expensive for multimedia.
  • Infrastructure differences and carrier choices shaped user behavior early on.

And this is not a Mudita Kompakt issue, I’ve tried it on a SAMSUNG S20, a SONY Xperia, my BlackBerry & an LG smartphone. It’s all the same.
