Ability to see notifications on the lockscreen?

Is there any way to customize what is shown on the Mudita Kompakt lockscreen?
In some of the videos I’ve seen, the Mudita Kompakt seems to show a big “Mudita” logo when it’s locked. And in other images it seems to show the time and notifications (for missed calls or messages). I often leave my phone sitting on the desk while I’m working, and would like to know if I have messages at a glance - does this mean I’ll need to unlock the phone to see that, or will it display that information already?

That would be really nice to be able to either have a clock or the image of your choice  !

From what I have seen on this forum,

  • Yes, the lock screen will display whether you have any messages waiting.
  • No, the lock screen will not give any details about those messages.

I’ve seen two completely different pictures of the phone sitting idle. I’m not sure which one is the lockscreen, that would show when my phone is left alone for a long period of time. Is it the Mudita logo? Or is it the one that shows the time?

The lockscreen – i.e., the screen that appears while the Kompakt is in a locked state – is the screen that displays the Mudita logo.

So if I leave my phone on my desk, I won’t be able to see if I have any missed calls or messages, without picking it up and unlocking it to check?

Sounds legit following the idea behind the phone. Some flexibility would be cool in that regard, let’s see what @urszula will bring for an answer.

I’m hoping this can be changed. A big part of my moving to the Kompakt was to escape logos

This is something that I have passed on to the team because someone was looking for a COMPLELY blanc screen.
You can set the time of how long it takes for your screen to time out.

My understanding is that you WILL be able to see whether you have any missed calls or messages when the Kompakt is on your desk and in the locked state.

So confirming the lockscreen will show the Mudita logo, AND any notifications, but it won’t show the time? I don’t think I’ve actually seen what that looks like as it seems different to either of the two screenshots I posted above. Does anybody have a screenshot of what it looks like when the phone is locked and I get a notification?

Edit: I found a screenshot online. Is this the lockscreen? If so it seems just what I’m looking for - showing notifications and time, but not the details of those messages.

In real life it looks like this

Amazing - thank you Urszula! That’s perfect.

Out of curiousity, what is the screenshot I showed above with the Mudita logo - when would that screen display?

Thanks @urszula Do you know if it will be able to personalize the lock screen to display an image for example ?

@alexand3r Unfortunately, that’s not in the plan & that’s intentional to keep the minimalist philosophy of the phone.

@damian1 That’s the LOCK LOCK screen, if you use a fingerprint lock.

Ah, gotcha! So if I just have a PIN lock (or no lock at all?) the lock screen is the time and notifications. But if there is a fingerprint lock, the lock lock screen is the Mudita logo?

@damian1 Let me verify with the team if a PIN lock is also does this.

Thank you. I’m really just wondering if I’ll be able to see notifications while the phone is locked and lying on my desk.

Are these the different screen modes? (I am so confused!)

  • Powered Off
  • Locked Locked
  • Locked
  • Unlocked

Perhaps a side-by-side presentation of these screens with an explanation of how to get into and out of each state would be helpful?

Or, maybe we should all wait more patiently for our Kompakt cellphones to arrive, at which point it will become obvious?
