So I sent the Kompakt to Poland to get repaired and I am thinking it will be roughly a month until I get it back. I can tell you after 6 hours of using the Cat S22 flip I already feel worse. I immediately felt like I was on a smartphone again, I added email to it, was browsing on it. It is amazing how quickly an addiction can return. I truly realize now how much more calm and happy I am using the Kompakt. Even just having it in your hands makes you feel better. When I wake up I open the meditation timer and its usually the first thing I do with the phone in offline mode pretty much all morning. This is going to be a rough month. I may even transfer my sim to my sons phone which he really does not use the Alcatel Go Flip because I truly do not like using the Cat s22 flip. The only reason I still have it it is for 2fa when I was at school, and I will need it again as I continue my studies this September. I am counting down the days till my Kompakt returns lol, this will be a tough wait!
Given this recent article, your daily diligence with meditation is noteworthy, @Minimalmann79!
I hope that you have a meditation-timer alternative while you wait for your Kompakt.
If I were @Minimalmann79 I would purchase a second Kompakt prior to returning the defective unit so my meditation sessions continue uninterrupted. Plus I would get a white Kompakt.
Sadly I don’t, well I do use the harmony but I am not able to use it first thing when I get up because my kids are using it as their alarm until the school year ends in a few weeks. It is usually my alarm but I give it to them in the basement for the last few months of school as its too hot for them to sleep upstairs. We have a big house and AC does not get to all the rooms properly so alas I have to tool to meditate. It is amazing how a lack of a minimalist device can effect your mood, I do feel like something is missing from my morning routine. Last night I shut my cat s22flip off and put it away in my dining room at 8pm and never touched it, plan on doing the same today. I truly despise it lol. I think its a pride thing, as much as its viewed as dumbphone its not, its a smartphone so I am back to using a smartphone and I don’t like it. Although I put the freedom blocker app on it again and blocked myself from adding email, gaining access to the browser etc. It is amazing how the addictive mind can leave right where it left off after being 4 years smartphone free
This is exactly the reason why I bought a second Kompakt. Received it last week. I do not foresee the need to ship back but no way I am going back to any other phone. It is now my one and only driver. 1.5.0 was just about everything I needed and the roadmap has everything I need. The second pebble is lying quietly in its box. We shall see if I ever break it open.
