Wondering how responsive the E-ink screen will be

I use the light phone 2 and it can be really slow at times when typing which is why I mainly use the speech to text. I am hoping the Kompakt does not have any issues when you type fast (missing letters etc), I have been using my kobo reader past few weeks and I do notice some lag when I am typing and search for books.

Will be interesting to see the finished product, I am not sure if I would use the e-reader to be honest because I rather read on my kobo which has a much bigger screen. Will see what happens in the next few weeks as we get more announcements and hopefully a demo, it will take a lot for me to not use the LP3. Will be a difficult decision because I do love both companies even though i had a frustrating experience with the pure.

I would suggest Mudita also go on Jose briones channel when you are ready to launch. He has a large fan base (myself included) and it would be great to see members of the mudita team on a live stream, never seen that from this team would love to see it

@anon52747040 I think you will be VERY happy. Did you get a chance to check out a journalist initial review from IFA Berlin? He’s got some videos & pix. I think you’ll enjoy it. It’s in POLISH, but you can easily translate it.

@urszula I have issues with android smart phone screen responsiveness due to my finger pads being buffed to a smooth finish most of the time due to my creative work. Has Kompakt E-Ink screen been tested with smooth fingerpads and if so, does it perform well? If not, is there a suggested work around?

Yet another example of why I am glad that the Kompakt has an E Ink screen:

  • I saw today at a bus stop a teenager cupping his smartphone in his hands and close to his face as he strained to read it in bright sunlight.

It reminded me of 4x5" sheet-film cameras with shrouds that let photographers see their subjects so as to adjust the focus!

In contrast, I look forward to not straining to read my Kompakt’s display in bright sunlight!

Same!

The neck crane is a phenomenon that becomes glaringly apparent in others once you stop craning your own neck. I know it’s none of my business, but even just people simply looking down at their phones in public starts to irritate me. I think because half of the time its someone driving in front of me or crossing a street while doing it.

That, and it looks ridiculous.

@galtions We didn’t test it for your specific situation, but touch screens, specifically capacitive touchscreens, respond to the electrical conductivity of your skin, not heat or fingerprints… Your creative fingerprints should be just fine

Ahhh, thanks for that info  So I need to channel more EMF through my fingers! Zappo!
