SO I sideloaded the quick sms app mainly because I can silence text notifications separate from the phone calls, this is a real pain in the butt I hope Mudita changes because if you want this to be a distractionless phone I have to have the option to turn off the text sounds at the library for example when I am studying because now I need to have the sound on the highest volume so I can hear a phone call from my kids school if they need to reach me, but as of now if I am at the library text sounds are going off, thankfully now with this app I can turn the notifications off.
Question I had is when you sideload another sms app should you force stop the stock sms app to save battery?

I’m using QUIK-sms. I disabled the stock SMS app via ADB because I kept getting an error message stating that the SMS app crashed when I started the phone every morning. I didn’t notice that it consumed more battery when I had both QUIK and the stock SMS app installed/activated.

@anon7028788 If you realliy like the Mudita SMS app, there is a backdoor to access the built-in notifications for each app. I’ve been able to find it through an app such as Activity Manager.
