Whatsapp: Call disconnects when the screen locks during a call

Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Mudita Kompakt. During a normal phone call, the call sometimes disconnects when the screen automatically turns off or locks.

I am not intentionally ending the call. It appears to happen when the display locks during the WhatsApp call.

The phone is updated to the latest software version available to me.

You have to exempt WhatsApp from battery optimizations, you’ll need a third party launcher like InkOS to access those settings

Does this happen when you use the native PHONE app? Or only when you use WhatsApp? Or another calling app?

Only whatsapp.

@jiric Let me ask the team about this. Sometimes, we might not have any influence how certain apps behave on Mudita Kompakt, because those apps were not designed with a minimalist phone in mind, but as @ArmchairSetup has noted, sometimes there might be workarounds that can be implemented.
