@nyverden yes exactly! Some of these exist already but as apple tags or wallet trackers etc. But I believe most of these require apple or google services and also have low battery life.
@jackb Mudita Cone & Mudita Lantern are some mindful lamps we are currently working on. That’s all we can say at the moment. So stay tuned Exciting times ahead. What do you guys think?
I think this is amazing and saves me a lot of time because I was in early conversation with a friend / major lighting manufacturer to create something similar but only because I REALLY wanted this myself. Much easier to wait and buy lol! I look forward to becoming a purchaser once ready (hopefully soon!)
I like the lantern as an idea for a rechargable outdoor light (for camping and stuff) or a soft, warm indoor night light so it doesn’t disturb sleep when being used for bathroom / kitchen / interplanetary trips etc.
Preferably like a small handheld version with a far glow reach, directional light and made without plastic. If it is plastic, then recycled content to reduce plastic waste on our lovely planet…
They seem to be using a lithium battery so since its DC I think it should be just fine. If you are charging it with a wall charger than that technically can introduce EF like any other electronic thats plugged into ac power. Me personally I prefer incandescent light so I always avoid led if I can but I dont think these are terrible at all. I’m viewing it on eink so if im viewing it correctly it looks like they have a frosted white diffuser plastic around the lights which should shield the led lights well and prevent harshness from the nature of leds being very directional light. Leds use different phosphors to achieve different colors like their warmer color, if I was going to buy one my concern would be if the warmer color such as orange is not being displayed as the phosphor creates that color as in using a method that is tricking our brains into seeing a specific shade of orange that is different from what the led can produce on its own by flickering two different leds that are displaying 2 different orange shades by taking advantage of our flicker fusion where we do not notice it flickering two different color shades resulting in us perceiving a shade that the leds cant produce on their own. This is different than normal PWM flicker that led lights tend to use for brightness control. I am sure they dont use it but there could be a chance maybe? I would want it not to have something like that for all shades that the light can adjust to. I had a bulb which I believe was an ikea smart bulb that had color adjustments and it used that. You can see it with a slomo video or a camera set to a very high shutterspeed.
edit: Also I would like the Wleds to be turned off when displaying a warmer color temp to eliminate blue light. Most devices for example seem to leave their wleds enabled even when set to the warmest color temp, the front light on dasung eink devices unfortunately operate like that.
