What is really Duraspeed?

Here and there, for example in the settings of

MuditaCalendar, I heard about Duraspeed. Can someone please explain me what it really is and how to set it to limit the drain of the battery. Thanks in advance.

Duraspeed is a process manager that tries to kill/stop idle apps so the premise is that you can whitelist apps to let them keep running in the background.

For the moment I use InkOs that let me kill the apps that I don’t want turning in the background.

Go to settings → Developer Options, and click the search loupe at the top and enter “Duraspeed”. Then you can select which apps you want to add or remove.
