Got my kickstarter survey this morning and I had a tough time deciding between the black and the pebble grey but ultimately I wanted the phone to match my harmony and pure. what colors did you all pick?
I’m back and forth still debating between white and gray.
Gray would be nice to blend with the e-ink screen, and if I invert the screen then it’ll look good either way.
White though, my desk, trackpad, keyboard, controllers, etc are all white.
Whichever one I get, I’ll probably add an extra case in the opposite color lol
lol nice, yeah i do wish they were all not black in the middle, I almost went with the black but I just love the pebble grey color, I just wish the whole phone was pebble grey, oh well all I know May is a long wait I wish I lived in europe now lol
I also just got the screen protector, I always get a case for all my phones and then take it off, I just love the feel of the phone without a case on it, and the Kompakt is built like a tank so I am not worried about drops and I am very careful with my phones anyways
Since I am on no shipping list for Kompakt, I ll say colour choice for previous model.
White looks clean and inspirational, but black is sexy n impressive.
I chose Pebble Grey for the Kompakt and Pebble Grey for the protective case. I asked at the end of the survey for a bright-yellow or bright-green protective case, in the event that Mudita adds one of those colors, in place of the Pebble Grey case.
I didn’t get a survey, but I’ll pick black.
I picked Pebble Gray for the Kompakt and the green protective case.
I chose natural white. Just because it appealed to me the most. Plus it will match the white notebook I’ll be buying in a few months.
Pebble Grey Kompakt.
Pebble Grey case.
What!?? The dumbphone king was left out of the survey. We must start a protest lol
Nice that will be a nice combo
Great minds…
@urszula is the quality of the plastic like the Harmony? And is the case of a soft silicone material?
I’ll ask about the specific material, but the Mudita Kompakt material feels more durable than Harmony or Bell. The front glass is made of matte, mineral material with an 8H rating in the Pencil Hardness Test, indicating good resistance to everyday scratches.
Mudita Kompakt underwent extensive drop testing designed to reflect real-life scenarios:
- It passed 18 drops from heights of 0.8m, 1m, and 1.2m onto smooth ceramic tiles. The tests were concluded at this point, and we did not test beyond 18 drops. This does not mean the next drop would have caused failure—it simply marked the successful completion of the test cycle.
- In a separate repeated drop test from 50cm, the device endured 200 drops to simulate wear over time. Testing was completed after 200 drops, and further impacts were not performed, and just as above this does not mean that the next drop would have caused failure.
These results demonstrate that Mudita Kompakt is robust enough to handle common, everyday drops. As with any device, rough or uneven surfaces (e.g., gravel or rocks) pose a higher risk, especially for the E Ink display, so it’s always best to exercise caution.
Thank you, that’s good to know. It sounds like the Kompakt will survive with me, I’m not usually a ‘dropper’. I love the feel of the Harmony so if it’s more durable than that then even better.
This is the main reason I did not get a case, firstly I just love the feel of mudita products in the hand, for example the pure I have the case but I barely if ever put it on, tonight I will to discourage myself from checking the device while I am with my family, I already know the Kompakt will feel amazing in the hands because all Mudita products just have the right feel to them
Yeah having the pure side by side with the harmony both are such elegant devices, I need to post a pick of them by my bedside lol, I broke my rule of not having a phone by my bedside last night, I just love the pure so much I had to have it beside me…yes I have issues…
I had a hard time deciding between black and white. But went with black and green case. Although I still think of that white…
I’m looking forward to receiving the Kompakt in white and making my own little case for it, I’m not sure if it will be a colourful yarn crocheted case, a natural alpaca fur crochet case (maybe grey?) or a beige kangaroo leather one (the leather having been rescued from landfill).
I have enjoyed the Pebble Grey of the Pure but if it had been available in White, I would have chosen that.
@agakoz Welcome to the Mudita Forum! Black & green is a really cool combo!
