From start of the phone era you could choose your network manually or automatically. But here not for some reasons.
Also no toggles for location or mobile data in quick settings. Really disappointed with mudita not addressing real problems.
@urszula is this suitable for returning the phone or will this be addressed. In my case it is unusable so because I travel by the EU border a lot and it often switches to non EU network because of better signal probably
@urszula If it helps what he’s asking.
Your devs have hidden this dialog window:
com.mediatek.settings.network.NetworkSelectSettingActivity
I tried to launch it with adb and activity launcher, it won’t open.
I haven’t had to deal with this problem myself yet, but in October I will. The 2nd sim that I have need to be connected to particular carriers in some countries otherwise it won’t work.
And as a general request please tell your devs:
Stop hiding major functional dialogs in Android, even if they’re not styled properly. I’d rather have them looking ugly than not have functionality.
Edit: Similar to this image below:
@john765 & @gezimos This is a planned fix in 1.3.0- so the next update that’s coming out. I’m sorry that it didn’t make it into this update, I realize that this is very inconvenient for you.
@urszula Thanks a lot!
Just please tell them about other dialog settings they might have hidden, not only these two.
@urszula thanks a lot. Please try to add the quick toggles for mobile data and location. Or make it optional. For example I don’t use Bluetooth or airplane a lot. So these 2 would be better for my situation as a replacement It Should be optional
I know, Mudita keeps hiding the standard AOSP stuff or even rebuild it. If you use a third party launcher, you find also the files app, clock app (with countdown timer), FM radio, etc.
As for the settings, there should be an ‘advanced’ settings with unoptimized AOSP settings so we can easily also change notification settings or battery optimisation for the third party apps.
Will a daily meditation statistic be added into the next update?
@somastudy Thank you for this feedback. I will pass it on.
hmmm… some of the issues reported here are a bit bothersome and i suspect this is due to problems getting apps to display/work properly on an e-ink display - i’m not a developer, but i wonder if some sort of compatibility layer could be built, perhaps at the driver/GPU level, in order to filter what’s being sent to the display? could such a layer reduce or eliminate app re-development time?
