Hello !
I’ve got my Mudita Kompakt yesterday, and what a cool phone to have.
However i’ve sadly discovered today that it is not possible to receive and send vocal messages. Are you working on making this possible in a future update ? I wish to be able to do it with mudita as it’s an important feature for me.
@poirier_noir Thanks for your feedback. Just to make sure I understand- you’re looking to send voice notes vis Text Message- SMS?
I have had this feature with my AOSP-based Sunbeam Wireless flip-phone.
I look forward to having this feature with my Mudita Kompakt.
It is a handy way to leave an audio message for someone without calling that person’s number and waiting for the voicemail prompt!
I even have used it in a group text message.
Hello,
I’m looking for sending and receiving an audio message.
We highly use this with my family members as it is way faster to explain by the voice than texting what we want to share. And as we are not always disposables for call it’s the best alternative.
i had no idea this was even a thing… really must be a US thing? its way to expensive to use mms in europe.
presumable the default sms app doesn’t support other mms media types other than picture (maybe video clips) and you’re essentially wanting to add audio/voice clip mms support?
Ahah no purely European i am.
Exactly I wish for the audio/ voice clip mms support.
Is there any solution to this yet?
Or possibly any way, to solve it all around?
@chivo Our team is aware of this suggestion, but this is not something that they are working on for the future update.
I moved to the mudita from the sunbeam flip phone which had this feature. I really appreciated being able to send voice messages which helped me better express a feeling. I hope that this feature can be added in the future. Also my friends still try to send me these messages but it always tells me the “file type is not supported”. Will that be fixed?
@andrewzzimmerman You’re not the only one who requested this feature. I’ll make sure the team knows that the demand is growing ![]()
Yes, please implement this. My boss uses this a lot to communicate.
