Some users have been experimenting with flashing custom GSIs on the Kompakt, but this requires first reverting to version 1.1.1 - I was wondering if the development team could answer whether future updates (i.e. 1.5.0) will be TrebleDroid compatible.

@ArmchairSetup Perhaps the community can be of help here, however, please note that any firmware change on Mudita Kompakt requires unblocking boot partition - that unblocking is by itself - tampering with the device and voids the warranty.
I just wanted to put that out there.

This has long not been the case legally in the EU. However I would be really excited if the Mudita team would make it compatible with Lineage or any Android GSI so we can have control and ownership over the device we purchased.
I’ll check when 1.5 is released whether is possible to install Android GSI on it!

The articles you cites are a few years old. One is from 2018 & the other one is from 2012, so things could have changed.
