Timer feature on the mudita kompakt

Hi there,

I was finally able to open up my mudita package and install the phone. I did not realize that sms and mms were still a costly thing here in Germany :wink: Need to switch my contract :smiley:
BUT I did not find an actual timer on the phone. As I am the one making breakfast, and my wife loves soft boiled eggs I need a timer to be set at 6 minutes. Will this be added?

my happy life depends on it :wink:

There are such amazing and cheap timers on the market. I think your kitchen would benefit of one. Imo it is even faster to set a time on this, than looking for your phone, unlock it, tap the time, set the timer…just an idea :blush:

Ohh wait I just figured. You can use the meditation timer. Set it to 5 minutes, set the preparation time to 60 seconds and tada…you have 6 minutes with a gong at the end :smiley:

Yes, same! I’d love a timer for exactly the same reason (but 6 minutes is too soft for me, I’d need 7:30)

The above mentioned method can do 7 minutes :smiley: but not 7.:30

love that you all are so productive in solving the problem and mentioning alternatives. That is a forum activity without bashing and just complaining about a ā€œproblemā€. Thanks for the nice words everyone. :slight_smile:

Now that we’re talking about timers. I could also imagine that the Meditation timer could work as a pomodoro timer too, with some added functionality. It’s already halfway there.

Well, I wasn’t so lucky. I bought one a few months ago and it never worked (the dring sounded like a rooster breathing its last). I returned it, had it replaced, and it never worked. I am just disgusted and angry to see once again how the planet’s resources can be wasted in this way. Even for such simple mechanical things. I won’t buy the equivalent made by a local startup with an IA inside for €50, it’s just as much a waste.

@thurakanda Brilliant :slight_smile:

@thurakanda We have a Focus Timer in the Mudita Harmony :slight_smile: It’s based on the Pomodoro Technique & it’s seriously a game-changer for my productivity.

Haha I didn“t want to be rude, but I wanted to make a joke that, this might be a way of Mudita Team to push us to buy a Harmony, becase that has timer functions :smiley:

I guess it is just a form of comfort having a timer on a phone. I know that there are other ways to get to the exact time something needs. BUT an Focus Timer on the Kompakt sounds like a beautiful idea!
