During a recent phone call with my brother, I went to add my mom to the call (initiate a three party call). I was surprised to find the Kompakt doesn’t have an '“add call” button on the dialer. Has anybody tried other dialers to address this? I guess Mudita decided three people on one call does not fit with their vibe. 
Really though, this is not a complaint. I had my brother add my mom in, not a big deal. It’d just be a nicety.

Thanks, didn’t see that when I searched. Have you tried using an alternative dialer app? Or is that a dead-end?
@chadp This is a very interesting question and the answer is to straightforward. Standard three-way calling is a network carrier feature. Do you know if your network supports it? And do you have it enabled?
In standard cellular and landline networks, the actual “bridging” or mixing of the audio happens at the carrier’s network switch, not on your device. However, while the network does the actual audio mixing, your phone needs the software and user interface to send the correct commands to the network.
And @smuch is correct, Mudita Kompakt doesn’t currently support that.
If you are using data-based communication apps like WhatsApp, Signal, or some other app, the dynamic changes. In these cases, your cellular carrier is only providing the raw internet data. The “three-way calling” feature is handled entirely by the app’s servers (or occasionally mixed locally on the device itself, depending on the software architecture), bypassing the carrier’s voice network completely.
I use WhatsApp for all my 3-way calling.
@urszula, is this on the roadmap for MuditaOS K? I ask because this – along with voicemail notifications and long-pressing [1] to access voicemail – is another standard feature on cellphones sold here in the USA.
Voice mail support & pressing #1 to get to VM is absolutely on the roadmap. In fact, is happening in the next update (very soon). Right now, conference calling is not something that we had planned- I think one other person had requested this outside of you, so I will pass it on to the team for review.
