Hi everyone,
First off, a big thanks to the Mudita team for creating the Kompakt. It’s clear that it’s a device developed with a specific vision by a passionate, small team, and I really appreciate the commitment to a minimalist approach in today’s tech landscape.
Lately, while Browse the forum, I’ve noticed a recurring theme – many posts seem to demand “foo, bar, and batz” as “must-have” features. While I understand that everyone has their ideal phone in mind, I sometimes wonder if we, as a community, could embrace the diversity of needs a bit more.
Isn’t the beauty of a minimalist phone like the Kompakt that it doesn’t try to be everything to everyone? Perhaps we can trust that the Mudita team has its reasons for the features they’ve chosen to include (and those they’ve chosen to omit). Constantly reading demands for every conceivable feature can get a bit tiring, especially when it seems to pull away from the core concept of the phone.
Different people will have different requirements, and that’s perfectly okay! The Kompakt will be perfect for some, and perhaps not the right fit for others, and that’s the nature of a niche product.
Maybe it would help manage expectations if the Mudita team could consider sharing a very rough, high-level timeline or roadmap (perhaps without specific dates)? This might give us a clearer picture of the planned direction and help us understand what might be on the horizon and what likely isn’t.
Just my two cents. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the Kompakt evolves, while staying true to its minimalist roots.
Best regards to everyone in the community!
