Recently, I’ve noticed a recurring theme when people talk about their Kompakt. The very first thing someone tells me, always, is how he loves his phone. Just… loves it.
The case is the same for me. I don’t know what it is - just holding it in my hand gives me… joy. It’s soothing. I find myself saying it all the time: “I love my phone.”
For certain, it’s the form of the device. The features. It’s like Mudita nailed Jony Ive’s rule of thumb on two dimensions: the physical beauty and its organic utility.
So let me say it again, and I’ll say it with each of you whose lives were transformed: “I love my Kompakt.”

This was such a joy to read, thank you for putting words to something many of us feel but struggle to explain.
That “love factor” comes up again and again, and it’s rarely about specs. I mean, how many people actually LOVE their phone.
It’s about how Kompakt feels to live with. The calm of the form, the weight in the hand, the lack of friction, the sense that the device is working with you instead of pulling at you. Joy is exactly the right word.
Your reference to Jony Ive’s rule of thumb is spot on, physical beauty paired with organic utility is a hard balance to strike, and it’s something the team thought deeply about from the very beginning.

@catan I think that says a lot about technology these days. Like, we feel that we HAVE to PUT UP with it because there is no other option. However, I’m really glad that companies like Mudita are filling the gap with mindful products that people are CHOOSING intentionally.
