That’s great news. This is the first place where I can see planned features of the desktop app and they will make Mudita even more useful for me. However I’ve got one question: considering Mudita’s dedication to privacy wouldn’t it be useful to implement CardDAV and CalDAV protocols (on top of Google and not so bad in terms of respecting their users’ privacy Apple)?

There are privacy centric email providers who use CardCAV and CalDAV. Mailfence, Mailbox.org, Mailo, Nextcloud, etc. So no it would not be harmful at all. It is up to the user to decide what services they use with those protocols.
