Have been reading a few posts on this forum, and one phrase from someone else sums up EXACTLY the result of all the problems (bad bluetooth, can’t stop apps, can’t delete apps, missing texts, supplied apps are missing basic functions, etcetera).
Here’s what I read, and it IS the reason why I’m keeping my old phone:
Can you delete the Mudita stock Calendar, Meditation and Music apps? I don’t think you can, at least not without a lot of risky tech-level furtling about with adb.
Also, although you can manually stop background running Mudita stock apps like Calendar, they will automatically restart on device reboot (and possibly other times too; I’m not clear on that).
I understand from this forum that this will be addressed in Mudita OS v2.0 (autumn 2026).
On my other phone running the latest Android 16, I also can’t uninstall built-in system apps—aside from the Google bloatware. Stop trying so hard to find problems.
Show me proof that, for example, the calendar app—which you close but which restarts after you reboot your phone—has a negative impact on the battery
I’m sorry that you’re not happy with Mudita Kompakt. I did notice that some of the posts you made recently were under OLD Forum threads from months and years ago- those posts most likely discussed issues that have since been addressed with new software updates.
However, if you’re still not satisfied with your device, please reach out to our customer service team about return options. Mudita does offer a 14-day return policy and our customer service team will gladly process your return. If Mudita Kompakt is not working out for you, you can always return it.
Your response is hostile, defensive and unnecessary.
I was responding - politely - to your comment that you can delete apps. I made neither comparison to Android deletion policies nor battery life in my response here.
You made a general comment about deleting apps, and when I make a general reponse, you then demand specific evidence about testing battery usage. This is a disingenuous demand; you need specific equipment and skills for such testing. You must know this, so making such a demand merely suggests an inability to cope with refutation.
You also made an accusation that I was trying to find problems, without presenting any evidence this is so; in light of your demand for my battery use data, does this not seem a little hypocritical?
There certainly seem to be some haters trolling the forum.
I use stock OS and stock apps and I use the device as intended. I get 4-5 days of battery life. Texts work. Calls work. Alarms work. Bluetooth works. Headphone jack works. etc etc
Is there room for improvement? Yes.
Is Mudita working on these quality-of-life improvements as we speak? Also yes.
Is the Kompakt a full-featured smartphone? No.
Also I get the impression that the person who started this thread is replying to it from a second account named “Ocelot” - which, incidentally, has a hidden profile, but maybe I’m wrong.
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on the forum that bear no relation to reality.
I have no connection to “notyet” if that’s what you’re suggesting.
I wasn’t aware that constructive criticism of the Mudita Kompakt on this forum was classified as “hating” or was seen as unconnected to reality. Now that I know - for which many thanks - I’ll ask @urszula to delete my forum account as I have no further interest in contributing to something so unproductive.
