Hi Mudita team,
I’m wondering if there are any plans to introduce a text-based navigation menu option on the Mudita Kompakt, as an alternative option to the current icon-based UI?
I vote for keeping icons with text labels.

Apologies, my previous post said as a “replacement” but I meant to say as an “option” (in addition to icons) - corrected above!

Hopefully this happens soon. I think making it text-based can seem like a direct copy to Light, but who cares? I would not think about that and create at least the possibility to choose. I enjoy text based interfaces much more, and also believe it would help many LP users to make the switch, or more “serious” kind-of people to choose Kompakt.
I always get Unlauncher (from jkuester on Github) on my Android devices, as I dislike quite much Android base layer and interface.
So, in the meantime and once the phone arrives, I think thats the launcher im going to use be using

Maybe I’m wrong, but I think @Jose_Briones showed the O Launcher on the Mudita in one of his videos back in January? I ran it on my Pixel with Graphene OS for a while, it was quite close to the LP3 interface. But of course, an official option from Mudita to change between icons and text would be perfect.

Yeah, I would side-load a launcher. Hopefully ‘Before’ launcher works well.
