The previous threads on this topic were dated some years ago and either reference links or resources that no longer work, or they’re completely unsupported and demand that you disable SIP protection on one’s computer – not something one should do.
So, I’d like to revisit the topic for 2026.
@urszula, is there any way that the MK can be tethered to a Mac? Preferably a way that does not involve jail-breaking it, opening an Xcode dev account with Apple or, frankly, writing a driver oneself? Please don’t refer me to previous threads on this forum. I’ve exhausted them all and they all fizzle out or send one into no-man’s land where you end up on the site of the developer who wrote HoRNDIS who himself says not to use it since it’s not been maintained since 2018 and does not reflect Apple’s new architectural changes to i/o and USB etc.
Update: An apologies for the confusion thrown by being so vague. I mean using the MK as a hotspot.
