Spotify / Polar Flow / Ryanair - Questions before purchasing Mudita Kompakt

Hello, I have a few questions before purchasing the Mudita Kompakt.

  1. Does the MK have inductive charging?

  2. Can I connect Bluetooth headphones? I have a Marshall.

  3. Is there a speakerphone mode for calls?

  4. Has anyone checked if apps like Spotify, Duolingo, or Busuu work on the Mudita Kompakt? (I use them often).

  5. Does the MK have a focus mode like the Mudita Harmony (which I have)?

  6. Does the MK have a stopwatch/timer?

  7. Is there a minimalist web browser that works on the MK? I’d like to check my email, bank account, or train times from time to time.

  8. Does the phone have a hotspot function, meaning it allows another device to use the internet? 9. Does the MK allow me to install apps and save photos to an SD card?

  9. Does the GPS also work for cycling and hiking routes, or just for driving?

  10. Does the camera have a video recording function?

  11. Has anyone used the Ryanair or Wizzair (airline) apps and had any problems scanning a ticket on the Mudita Kompakt?

  12. Does MK have a QR code function? Many restaurants abroad often only have menus in this format.

  13. Last question: does anyone have the POLAR FLOW app on the Mudita Kompakt? I have a minimalist Polar Loop wristband without a screen that tracks all my activity throughout the day.

Thank you in advance for your answers and help.

These are all great questions that a detailed sales page one day hopefully will answer.

@coffeeboy96 Here are some of my answers to your questions. Hopefully the community can cover the questions I’m not able to answer:

Does the MK have inductive charging? You mean wireless charging? Yes.

Can I connect Bluetooth headphones? I have a Marshall. YES- Mudita Kompakt has Bluetooth.

Is there a speakerphone mode for calls? YES

Has anyone checked if apps like Spotify, Duolingo, or Busuu work on the Mudita Kompakt? (I use them often). I don’t have those apps, but maybe the community can help.

Does the MK have a focus mode like the Mudita Harmony (which I have)? Like the Focus Timer?

Does the MK have a stopwatch/timer? No.

Is there a minimalist web browser that works on the MK? I’d like to check my email, bank account, or train times from time to time. I use Brave Browser (sideloaded) but other users have tried different ones.

Does the phone have a hotspot function, meaning it allows another device to use the internet? YES

Does the MK allow me to install apps and save photos to an SD card? You can sideload apps & save photos to an SD card.

Does the GPS also work for cycling and hiking routes, or just for driving? The native Mudita Maps let’s you choose walking, driving or biking.

Does the camera have a video recording function? No, just pictures.

Has anyone used the Ryanair or Wizzair (airline) apps and had any problems scanning a ticket on the Mudita Kompakt? I’ve traveled with Kompakt & put my boarding passes on the phone as PDFs. I don’t have these apps installed.

Does MK have a QR code function? Many restaurants abroad often only have menus in this format. There is a user-created app for that.

Last question: does anyone have the POLAR FLOW app on the Mudita Kompakt? I have a minimalist Polar Loop wristband without a screen that tracks all my activity throughout the day. I don’t know what that is, maybe the community can help.

Thanks for the replies.

  • The boarding passes were in PDF format and there was no problem reading them at the airport, which is very good news.
  • Yes, I meant “Focus Timer.”

I just ordered the Mudita Kompakt phone.

sounds like you are looking for a fully fledged smartphone, Kompakt is not that

Absolutely not. Listening to music, podcasts, and being able to get from point A to point B across Europe are my priorities. Busuu and Duolingo are language learning apps I find useful. The Polar Flow app lets me track my body, sleep, and workouts with a display-free wristband. I want to be free from social media, completely cut off from distractions. And mudita gives me that opportunity. I’ve been using the Mudita Harmony II alarm clock for a year, and it’s significantly improved my sleep quality—it’s time to take it to the next level.

Literally all of these questions are easily answerable with a bit of Googling on your own…
