Have the same problem. I SMS a person, reply comes in, new conversation starts. Another instance- a family member texted me a code, and the code became their phone number in another conversation. Sometimes I have even more than 2 conversations for 1 person. It’s becoming frustrating

Ah yes, it happens here too sometimes. Isn’t it due to some duplicates in the contact list ? Is there something particular in the concerned contacts record ?
Nothing from all that.
Even if I send an sms to someone who isn‘t in the contacts, answer comes in another conversation.

Hmm.. Something strange here : I am pretty sure it never occurred when I was subscribed to the Orange / Sosh French carrier (OS 1.4 & 1.5). Then I (recently) switched to the Free carrier due to the current lack of VoLTE certification / whitelisting (OS 1.6). And indeed, I noticed it occurred several times since then. No sideloading.
Does it make any sense ?
(currently I don’t have my Kompakt to make further tests and to tell you if it’s systematic or not)

Please submit a support ticket. This is definitely something that they need to look at.
