SMS app stopped working

Hi since the new update when I use SMS app to message someone it freezes and says SMS app stopped working. its actually for one of my contacts but Its an important person I message all the time. whats a potential fix for this

There are many posts about this on the forum already where you’ll find some helpful info about this problem.

But it sounds like it often happens specifically with longer SMS conversations, and deleting them is one fix.
