Hi, maybe I missed something, but it seems default MuditaOS SMS application doesn’t let us choose the SIM we want to send from. That’s weird because the Phone application let us do that.
For now I switched back to Fossify Messages, that I was using on my previous phone.
Yes, it does. I’ve used dual sims, and dedicate one as my SMS and outgoing call phone sim. The second sim functions for incoming calls.
Do you need help setting up defaults for SMS with a dual sim phone?
I use both at the same time, I need to choose which one sends a message, like on the Phone app. At least at the start of a conversation, then it can become the default in that context.
With 2 SIMS in the phone:
open: Settings / Network and Internet / Sim Cards
select: SIM preferences > that takes you to your SIM choices
-Mobile data
-Calls
-SMS
…pick for each: SIM 1, SIM 2 or Always ask
I hope this helps, mobile data is 1 or 2, the calls and SMS you can have it ask
Oh thank you, by default it was set on “always ask” for the phone but not SMS.
Now the SMS application shows a SIM selection icon before typing a message, neat.
So it seems Fossify Messages ignores that setting, but I’ll try again Mudita SMS now.
