Hi Sandra,
first of all, thank you so much for your review (and for your contributions to the os)! I think the “bad feedback” you got is not because your review is bad, but because it is quite sobering. Mudita has never shown a ‘real-life’ usage of the phone, only virtual marketing vids and the ones where people of the team talk about using the phone, but never showing even the most basic things like writing a message or calling each other with speakers on. Nonetheless, my expectations were high that the basics were done right, especially because the phone is advertised as such:
Good reception and ultralow SAR thanks to a custom antenna
There are plenty of antennas on the market but none of them allowed us to maintain good reception while minimizing our exposure to radio frequency energy.
Harman loudspeaker
The goal was to equip Pure with a great speaker. It provides high quality and natural sound both in quiet and loud environments, essential for enjoying hands-free conversations, your favorite tunes or audiobooks.
The loudspeakers were also praised by mudita here in the forum: The new AUG/SEPT Mudita Pure production & development update - #47 by urszula. It is really disappointing to read that this might not be the case. But, please, don’t take the feedback personal! I’m 100% sure it was related to the state of the phone/hardware and not on you.
Anyway, I’ll stick to the phone because the os and the desktop app are open source and I put faith in mudita that they interact well with the community, so that the software will improve over time. And of course I hope that your speaker is an exception - on the other hand, the fact that mudita has not replied to this thread yet is not reassuring
