Something that I have never attempted before today with my MK - outdoors reading.
After only a few minutes I notice that the screen begins to sorta fade.
There doesn’t appear to be any permanent damage but interesting nonetheless.
If the font looks smoother and more gray than black like in image 1. It’s just the e-reader app turning on the “reading” mode refresh of the e-ink display.
The behaviour is very inconsistent, sometimes it looks like image 2, sometimes like image 1.
Thank you for the photos - were I thinking I would have and should have done the same but didn’t have another device with me.
As a test, and with a camera this time, I went back outdoors to reproduce the issue.
I cannot reproduce it.
What I also noticed earlier was the device was very warm in hand. I was listening to podcast via BT headset and could feel the device getting warm. My screen was much different looking than yours, almost as if to be fading to complete white in an uneven manner.
I mean, it is 93 degrees out, I had been sitting for about 10 minutes so maybe it was overheating.
Okay that doesn’t seem to be the case here, might be hardware related. Maybe ask the support if that’s a display defect. 93 (33 celcius is hot) but it is in the range where device shouldn’t have any issues.
