I’ve been following the Kompakt for a while now.
I’ve had an iPhone since iPhones first came out in 2007 but I’m about done with full blown smart phones. This offers everything I’m looking for (although I will miss card payments with my phone).
I’m actually looking forward to getting this more than any phone I’ve had since that first iPhone.
Looking forward to joining you guys on this journey.
Welcome! you will not regret your choice!
@aled I think you’ll be very happy. Mudita Kompakt does have NFC capabilities, so there’s that to look forward to.
I’ve been using mine for about a month now & I can honestly say that it’s such a a unique/ flexible phone. The battery life is insane. I was able to use mine for 8 days on one charge- That was while I was traveling in Greece:
Check out my blog:
I also took it to London last week. It was awesome!
Welcome! I live in the USA and switched my order from the “North American” version to the “Global” version after reconsidering the LTE bands supported by my cellular service provider.
Per Brave browser’s AI-generated answer to a query, “The iPhone was initially sold in the United States on June 29, 2007. Sales to the European market started in November 2007, beginning in Germany, followed by Britain and then France.”
So, you must have been living in the USA, Germany, the UK, or France when you got your first iPhone. If you were in the USA, then I know that you got it with AT&T Mobility, as AT&T had exclusivity to launch the iPhone in the USA.
Which version of Kompakt did you order?
Crazy to think the first iphone was a dumb phone lol, you could just call/text and listen to music
@urszula, thanks. I read your blog. The passion you clearly have for the Kompakt and Mudita itself is awesome. You’re a great ambassador for the company.
Really looking forward to it shipping
@kirkmahoneyphd haha, that’s a very detailed breakdown. Yes, I’m in the UK. I ordered it early on (might have been early the following year) and it was on Orange which later became EE.
I ordered the pebble one, looks like a small brick of mindfulness
@minimalist4life that was actually in my head when I ordered and probably what prompted me to mention it in my post. When you think about there’s a very close parity between the features on the original iPhone and the Mudita. Except the Mudita has that beautiful eink screen and can sideload WhatsApp
Same here! Ordered the pebble grey just love that color
Same here! I wanted something other than black – not only so that it will not look like a smartphone copycat but also so that I can find it relatively easily. I chose pebble grey over white – both for the Kompakt itself and for the case – because I did not want the hassle of trying to keep it perfectly clean. And, I am glad that I chose pebble grey because of its peaceful vibe.
Same! Can’t wait to see the pic of your phone when you post it on here, because mine will look the same! lol
Yeah the white was just too bright for me, I almost got the black but ever since the Pure and now with the light phone 2 I just love the grey colour and it matches my Harmony
I also have chosen the pebble gray one. Just a stepstone
